NHS CPC facilitates collaborative procurement amongst member NHS organisations. The collaborative approach ensures that aggregation and economies of scale are combined with a once-only approach. As well as establishing contracts and frameworks which save our members millions of pounds our procurement team also provide a range of bespoke services including tender and bidding support and consultancy right through to full procurement or project support or management.
Some of our recent successes include:-
- Introduction of new multi-million pound clinical waste contract, saving the Yorkshire region over £1m per annum for the next 15 years
- Bringing millions of pounds back into the NHS through property rates which had been wrongly paid over the last five years. One of our member Trusts recently received a cheque for over £400,000!
- Winning over £60m of business on behalf of NHS Sheffield Provider Services, one of the biggest community services organisations in the country
- Implementation of an innovative Enteral Feeds contract which is saving hundreds of thousands of pounds for both acute trusts and community services
- Supporting NHS CPC member Trusts to standardise their blood glucose management systems, saving millions of pounds whilst radically improving patient care
- Saving health care commissioners in the West Yorkshire region millions of pounds through a new out of hours contract
