Contract of the Month
NHS CPC is pleased to announce that November’s Contract of the Month is File Servers and Associated Deployment Services.
A low cost route for NHS Trusts to source their Server and Associated Services requirements.
What this contract offers you
- Speed and ease of ITQ and ordering – it has already been procured through a full OJEU competitive tender process
- It enables you to legitimately source these products and services directly from both major IT manufacturers and also through IT reseller organisations
- Choice for you and your Trust
- Flexibility – this framework agreement can be used to buy products and services that meet your specific needs
- NHS CPC do not deploy a ’supplier charging model’ therefore, suppliers aren’t incorporating an additional mark-up when quoting prices to NHS CPC member Trusts under this agreement. That is not the case with equivalent national framework agreements.
A cost effective way to purchase
The single biggest advantage of using this framework agreement is that it offers the opportunity to obtain server requirements both from a number of major manufacturers directly and also from a range of major re-sellers. Sourcing directly from manufacturers can be a cost effective purchasing route versus the alternative of buying through third party organisations, however it is advantageous to have both routes available under a single framework agreement. It is worth noting that other national framework agreement(s) do not offer this opportunity to buy directly from major manufacturers. In order to secure best value NHS CPC encourages Trusts to obtain competitive quotes from all eight suppliers on the framework agreement.
