About Us

NHS CPC is a NHS owned national procurement organisation, delivering millions of pounds of efficiencies and value added benefits to the NHS. NHS CPC works collaboratively to make savings on everything from pharmaceuticals to printer cartridges. As well as cash releasing savings NHS CPC offers expert consultancy services on healthcare contracting and compliance and skills transfer, helping organisations to enhance their ratings in three world class commissioning competencies.

NHS CPC members come from Trusts around the country. Each member has joined us to work collaboratively and utilise the contracts, efficiencies and value added benefits we have established in order to save their Trust money. Since becoming established in 2007 our specialist procurement and commercial teams have delivered millions of pounds worth of financial savings which have gone back into the NHS.

NHS CPC has a procurement team and a commercial team:

• The procurement team uses the buying power of our member Trusts to put in place a range of competitive medical and non-medical contracts. We supplement this by sharing standardisation opportunities and recommending areas where innovation can also improve local services. We also work with NHS commissioners to support the contracting process with health care providers.

• The commercial team offer a range of enhanced services to our member Trusts which have improved practices and generated significant savings. These services include: CPC Plus, an online tendering tool for low value items; CPC Creative, an in-house team which provides marketing and communications services; and CPC Drive, a unique lease car and vehicle management scheme.

We also provide bespoke support to NHS Trusts. This includes bidding support for healthcare providers and service support providers, training and development programmes and support with specialist recruitment.
